Living with Water: The Future of Flood Insurance in Hampton Roads Open House Event

PHILADELPHIA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region III, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), and the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) are inviting the public to attend the ‘Living with Water’ open house event on December 4, 2018. This event will provide area residents and property owners with information about flood risk and insurance coverage in Virginia. Staff from federal, state and local agencies will be on hand to talk with residents one-on-one and answer questions about flood maps, insurance, and measures people can take to reduce flood risk. Interested parties are encouraged to register for this free event through Eventbrite.

Who: FEMA, DCR, VDEM, HRPDC, and other state and local agency staff available to answer questions and provide information on programs and ways for residents to reduce risk.
