CVS Health is partnering with local, state and federal programs to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible populations. Select CVS pharmacies in Virginia are now administering the COVID-19 vaccine by appointment only for people ages 65 and older who are also on a local health department wait list. There is no cost for the vaccine. To schedule your appointment, visit the CVS COVID-19 Vaccine webpage and select “Virginia” from the drop-down menu in the middle of the page. You will be required to respond to a brief COVID-19 questionnaire and will then be taken to the scheduling page. Here you will choose if you need the two-dose vaccine or if you just need the second dose. Then you will select the location where you want to be vaccinated and will need to provide information about your eligibility, confirming that you are 65 or older AND on a health department wait list in Virginia for the COVID-19 vaccine. Once completing this information, you will be asked to enter your zip code and will be provided with an available appointment in your area. Appointment availability is based on demand and access to the vaccine, so it is not guaranteed that an appointment will be available. If you are 65 and older and have not yet registered on the Peninsula Health District’s website, visit their COVID-19 Vaccine Registration page. You must be registered with the Peninsula Health District or another district in Virginia to receive the vaccine at CVS. For more information on the Peninsula Health District and their vaccine roll-out, visit their website.
