Grant Applications Available from Norfolk Commission on the Arts and Humanities
Non-Profit Arts and Cultural Organizations Serving Norfolk Citizens May Apply
Each year, the Norfolk Commission on the Arts and Humanities awards grants to non-profit organizations that enrich the lives of Norfolk’s citizens through the arts and culture. The applications for grants to organizations which do not receive other City of Norfolk funding are now available.
The grant applications are for Fiscal Year 2017 (September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017). The deadline to return grant applications is April 1, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. EDT. This is not a postmark deadline.
Grant application assistance workshops are scheduled for: Saturday, February 13, at 11 a.m. and Thursday, February 18, at 5:30 p.m. Both workshops will be held in the Slover Library, Room 110, 235 East Plume Street, Norfolk, VA. Workshops will generally last one hour.
Applications will be sent by email, unless a paper copy is specifically requested. To receive an application or ask for further information, please email: artscommission@norfolk.gov, or call Debra Burrell, Arts Manager at 757-664-4330.
