Happy Independence Day

“This land is your land, this land is my land…” is how the song goes. Although true, it was probably written to give ‘minorities’ a false sense of security. Now that people in power believe that they have everything that they need from ‘minorities’ including mRNA vaccines (which were probably derived through testing on the aborted fetuses of ‘minorities’), they have abandoned enforcing any type of protections for African Americans afforded by the U.S. Constitution. Now we understand why the right for ‘minorities’ to have abortions is protected, while they are being treated worse than animals, otherwise. We also understand now why entertainers who encourage promiscuous behavior are revered and promoted in ‘minority’ communities. Some of our rights matter, and some do not, depending on the agenda of the day. Philando Castile had the right to bear arms, yet five years after his death, the Department of Justice has not filed civil rights violation charges against Officer Jeronimo Yanez, who shot Castile several times while he was in a car with a four-year-old child. Recently, a judge sentenced Derek Chauvin to 22.5 years for the murder of George Floyd. Many people do not believe that the sentence was stiff enough for blatantly killing a man in front of a crowd of people in broad daylight with his knee. The prosecution asked the judge to sentence him to 30 years. While African Americans are dying of violence at the hands of police officers and others at alarming rates, it pales in comparison to the number of people of color who have died in hospitals, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic. Some people believe that many of these deaths occured because of racism. What killed more than 600,000 people during the pandemic may have been their trust in a system that has discriminated against them for centuries. Unfortunately every African American hospital in Hampton Roads has closed and it is difficult to find African American doctors who still practice today. We can continue to do the same things over and over again and expect a different result or we can demand our God given rights that are protected by the U.S. Constitution. This country belongs to all of its citizens, especially those of us whose ancestors sacrificed so much to ensure our rights. Reclaim your country today.
