HBCU Futures Conference

For more than 150 years, historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) have served as pillars in the Black community. They have produced the best scholars, doctors, educators, engineers, thespians, journalists, and more.  To ensure this continued success, being proactive and forward-thinking about the future of HBCUs is essential. Engage with HBCU students, alumni, faculty and staff while we collectively plan for the future of our HBCUs.

Some of the invited speakers include U.S. Representative Alma Adams, Dr. William R. Harvey, Dr. Glenda Glover, Dr. Julianne Malveaux, Dr. Everett Ward, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, Tarik Cohen and entrepreneur Lonnie Johnson.

Examples of workshop subjects include Fundraising, Entrepreneurship, Getting Rid of Student Loans, Healthcare Advocacy, Funding for College, Obtaining Research Grants, Virtual Learning and Career Readiness.
