| U.S. Department of DefenseThe OUSD(R&E) HBCU and Minority-Serving Institutions (MI) Research and Education Program is pleased to announce awards totaling $15 million for two HBCUs to establish Centers of Excellence (COEs) in Biotechnology and Materials Science. A merit competition conducted by the DoD HBCU/MI Program. The COE in Biotechnology is awarded to North Carolina A&T State University, an HBCU in Greensboro, NC. The COE in Materials Science is awarded to Morgan State University, an HBCU in Baltimore, MD. | EPA Environmental Justice Video Challenge!What: We just launched the Environmental Justice Video Challenge for Students. The challenge asks student teams from colleges and universities to submit a video that demonstrates innovative approaches to identify and characterize an EJ issue(s) in a community using data and publicly available tools. Participants will have the chance to win cash prizes and other benefits. Date: The challenge is open now through April 1, 2022.
