| Newport News Mayor McKinley L. Price has launched a new program, Price Points, on Newport News Television (NNTV) to communicate with residents, businesses and others about important topics. Each month, he will discuss issues and interesting topics with a diverse panel of city and community leaders. “I have always enjoyed watching unscripted shows, where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to discuss important topics,” said Mayor McKinley L. Price. “This show will offer differing viewpoints in one conversation. Our panel will not always agree, but we will listen to one another and, hopefully, learn together.” For the first program, Mayor Price sat down with Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew; Rashard Wright, Chief of Staff for Newport News Public Schools; Dr. Kellie Mason, Principal of Warwick High School; and, Chantany’ce Martin, member of the Mayor’s Youth Commission The group discussed the shooting at Heritage High School and how schools and the city are continuing to address COVID-19. Watch Price Points online and on NNTV (Cox 48/Verizon 19). If you have suggestions for future topics you would like Mayor Price to address, please email his office at mayorsoffice@nnva.gov. |
