Portsmouth Lane Closures During Infrastructure Work

The Department of Engineering announces the following lane and road closures during infrastructure projects and work throughout the City of Portsmouth.
· King Street, from Peninsula Avenue to Twine Avenue, will be closed on Monday, June 13th, and Tuesday, June 14th, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. during Columbia Gas work.
· The intersection of Bonnie Terrace and Culpepper Road will be closed from Tuesday, June 14th, until Friday, June 17th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flaggers will direct traffic during cave-in repair work of the Department of Public Works.
· The intersection of Jefferson Street and 5th Street will be closed from Friday, June 17th, until Thursday, June 23rd, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Flaggers will direct traffic during cave-in repair work of the Department of Public Works.
A Milling and Paving Project of the Department of Public Works is currently underway and will continue as scheduled below, weather permitting. Flaggers will direct traffic.
-Eighth Street between Palmer Street and Madison Street
Paving: Tuesday, June 14th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-Elm Avenue between George Washington Highway and Jefferson Street
Paving: Wednesday, June 15th and Thursday, June 16th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-Stratford Street between Roosevelt Boulevard and Taft Drive
Milling: Monday, June 13th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Paving: Friday, June 17th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-Darren Drive between Greenwood Drive and Cavalier Boulevard
Milling: Tuesday, June 14th and Wednesday, June 15th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Paving: Monday, June 20th and Tuesday, June 21st from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-Nero Drive between Darren Drive and Loren Crescent
Paving: Monday, June 20th and Tuesday, June 21st from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-Greenwood Drive Between I-264 Overpass and Darren Drive
Milling: Thursday, June 16th until Monday, June 20th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Paving: Wednesday, June 22nd until Friday, June 24th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
