Special Election set for 90th House of Delegates District

Governor Ralph Northam today issued a writ of election declaring a special
election in the 90th House of Delegates District for January 5, 2021. The
seat was previously held by Delegate Joseph C. Lindsey, who resigned
effective November 15, 2020.

Citizens interested in running to fill the vacant seat have until December
7, 2020 to file to be included on the ballot. Candidacy requirement
information can be found on the Virginia Department of Elections website.

Norfolk City Councilwoman Angelia Williams Graves and Rick James, the
Outreach Director for the Virginia Senate, have both announced their
intention to run for the 90th House of Delegates District seat.
