Special Meeting on Denbigh-Warwick Area Plan

On Tuesday, July 16, the Newport News City Council, Planning Commission and Economic Development Authority will hold a special meeting to hear a presentation on the final proposed Denbigh-Warwick Area Plan. WRT, the consultants providing strategic direction for the project, will lead the presentation. The public is invited to the presentation, which will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Denbigh Community Center, 15198 Warwick Boulevard.
Thanks to extensive citizen, business and stakeholder input, the city has developed a plan to revitalize the Denbigh-Warwick area. The plan includes design options for key public sites and suggestions for future development. The goal of the plan is to create a long-term vision for the area that establishes an identity, enhances the quality of life, stimulates economic investment and improves the community’s overall health and safety.
