For the love of art and animals Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center
(NACC) is partnering with Fuzion Ink for the first ever Tats for Tails
fundraiser and mini-block party in the Norfolk Arts District tomorrow, July
7!
It has all the makings of an epic event you won't want to miss - friendly
dogs, lots of ink, live music, animal service vendors, craft beer and
artisan, wood-fired pizza!
Patrons will be able to choose an adorable (and affordable) design during
business hours ALL DAY Friday as well as during the three-hour evening
event, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.! They will get to choose from one of the many
custom flash sheets prepared for the event on a first-come, first-served
basis starting at noon. Fuzion artists will have a wide variety of animal
tattoos available from the domesticated to the exotic! Costs will range
from $50 to $150 per piece, and considering that most of these artists book
up quickly, this is a steal. But wait! That’s not even the best part!
Anyone who shows up tomorrow that Fuzion cannot serve will be allowed to
schedule an appointment through Sunday, July 9th and receive the same deal.
A portion of the proceeds from the day go directly to the Norfolk Animal
Care Center to benefit the homeless animals of Norfolk’s largest shelter.
The fun Friday is not limited to the studio – patrons are welcome to enjoy
all the activities in the parking lot directly across from the street! For
those who wish to ink up on a smaller scale, Friends of NACC will have both
temporary tattoos and henna tattoos available. For those bringing their
(friendly and leashed) canine companions, Muddy Paws will be doing dog
tattoos and Give Treat Love will be on hand with their delicious gourmet
dog treats.
Local musician, Joe Heilman, will be playing throughout the evening.
Patrons can enjoy craft beers from Coelacanth and Bearded Bird Brewery
(next door to Fuzion) as well as a craft slices from Bodacious Pizza or a
cruelty-free vegan confection from My Vegan Sweet Tooth.
Bearded Bird Brewing, a fellow event sponsor, will have live music inside
their brewery tomorrow night and will be donating a $1 a pint to benefit
the furry friends at NACC.
