The Initiative

Greetings,

The White House Initiative onHistoricallyBlack Colleges and
Universitiesofferspart-time internships year round.Applicants who can
commit to at least 20 hours a week and are available inWashington, DC at
the U.S. Department of Education, Initiative headquarterswill
beconsidered.

The Initiative is responsible for the implementation of Executive Order
13779, dated February 28, 2017. Its purpose is to promote Excellence and
Innovationat our nations HBCUs. Interns at the Initiative are responsible
for assisting the staff on a wide range ofHBCUissues and priorities,
including economic competiveness, economic development, education,
workforce diversity and workforce development. Interns, will help write
memos, assist with communications and social media, coordinate and staff
events, and conduct outreach to national and local HBCU organizations and
leaders.

be enrolled part- or full-time in an accredited HBCU.Incomplete
application packets will be immediately disqualified from consideration.
