Traffic Pattern Changes During 420ish Unity Festival on April 23rd and April 24th

The City of Portsmouth announces that adjusted traffic patterns will be in effect during the 420ish Unity Festival scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd, and Sunday, April 24th, at the Portsmouth Sportsplex, 1801 Portsmouth Boulevard.  On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. until midnight, Portsmouth Boulevard will be closed from Frederick Boulevard to Beech Street.  All event parking should enter Portsmouth Boulevard from Frederick Boulevard.  The Portsmouth Police Department will control traffic around Portsmouth Boulevard and Frederick Boulevard in the vicinity of the Sportsplex.  Also, intermittent closure of the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard at Frederick Boulevard is possible at times throughout the two days of the festival.  The festival will include on-site parking.  Residents in the adjacent communities should be aware that there could be increased festival traffic within the neighborhoods.  For minor traffic-related reports, please call the Police Non-Emergency number (757) 393-5300.
