The Peninsula Home-based Business Network is offering a Lunch & Learn series on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from April through September. Drop in for these virtual workshops that run from noon to 1:00 p.m. to learn about a variety of topics related to starting, growing, and owning a business. The series kicks off on Wednesday, April 13 with the topic Understanding Contracts. Other topics for this monthly series include: Vertical IQ: Database Information Designed to Help Small Businesses Succeed (May 11); Website Development & Social Media Marketing (June 8); Home-Based Businesses & Online Sales (July 13); Determining Your Worth: How to Structure Your Prices (August 10); and From Solopreneur to Small Business: How to Take the First Steps to Grow (September 14). Supported by the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg and the counties of Gloucester, James City and York, the Peninsula Home-based Business Network is focused on assisting home-based businesses in the region by promoting events and resources that cater to all home-based businesses regardless of type or size.
