Arbor Day 2025: Celebrating 42 Years as a Tree City USA in Newport News

Please join us to celebrate Arbor Day 2025 and commemorate Newport News’s 42nd year as a Tree City USA. A tree planting ceremony will be held on Friday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at The Arboretum in Newport News Park. Please help us honor our city’s longstanding commitment to urban forestry.
