This announcement marks the return of the U.S. Army’s annual race to Washington, D.C. The in-person race is scheduled to take place at 8 a.m. EDT Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021. Registration is currently open and ongoing for the Army Ten-Miler Virtual Race, first introduced in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. In-Person Race Priority Registration opened at 8 a.m. EDT and is available to ATM Priority Club members (runners who have finished seven or more ATM races), and to Active-Duty Military, National Guard and Reserve. Please note that U.S. service members must use a “.mil” email address to register. The race is anticipated to reach maximum capacity of 12,000 runners quickly and registering early is encouraged. The current capacity of 12,000 participants… Individual in-person race registration is $89 and includes the official long-sleeve technical race shirt, Finisher Coin, Calendar and runners bag. Runners may also purchase tickets for the General Dynamics Pasta Dinner for $33. Additional processing fees apply. In accordance with current DoD policies and CDC guidelines, the In-Person Race Priority Registration has a current capacity of 12,000 participants. As the restrictions begin to ease, Army Ten-Miler will reevaluate the conditions and consider adding additional in-person race slots via General Registration in the coming months. Runners are encouraged to register for the virtual race as virtual registrants will have priority in transferring to general registration in-person race slots if/when additional slots are added. Virtual Race Registration for Army Ten-Miler is open, with a capacity of 30,000 participants. The Virtual Army Ten-Miler will be conducted from Sunday, Oct. 10 through Monday, Oct. 25. There are no geographic, age, pace or timing requirements, and participants may complete the race over multiple days in increments. ATM is currently running Early Bird promotion for the Virtual Race Registration. The promotion ends August 5, 2021. Runners are encouraged to register early and save. Individual Virtual Race registration is $59 and the runner packets include the long sleeve technical race shirt, the Finisher Coin, ATM Calendar and the runners bag. If ATM increases the number of In-Person Race slots permitted after the initial 12,000 In-Person race slots are sold out in July, virtual registrants and teams will have priority in transferring (and paying the difference between a Virtual Race and InPerson Race) to those additional In-Person slots. Transfer from virtual to in-person race registration will be conducted on the ATM registration platform, with detailed transfer instructions posted on www.armytenmiler.com. Runners who have registered for the Virtual ATM Race will receive an email invitation from ATM inviting them to transfer their registration from the virtual to the in-person race, based on their virtual race registration date. The earliest registrants will receive transfer invites first. Those successfully transferring from virtual to inperson will be charged the difference between the two.
