| The Virginia Peninsula Chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Riverside Health System, and the Hampton Roads Community Action Program (HRCAP) have teamed up to host a Women’s Health Fair and Forum. All are invited to the free event on Saturday, April 9 from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center (2410 Wickham Avenue in Newport News). The event focuses on women’s health as it relates to the mind, body, and soul. Topics include prenatal care, maternal health, cancer treatment, mental health, and much more. The event features a panel discussion with health professionals from Riverside and information on a variety of health resources. On-site healthcare testing and consultations will also be available, including glucose and blood pressure testing and Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings. COVID vaccines and boosters will be available, including the second COVID booster for qualifying individuals. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend, including gentlemen.
