For many tenants in Virginia, navigating the rapidly changing laws around tenants’ rights during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenge. The recent changes to federal and state eviction protections and new housing laws have added even more potential for confusion. Join Delegate Marcia Price, the City of Newport News, the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, Tidewater Tenants Rights, Consumer Litigation Associates, and the Virginia Poverty Law Center on Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center at 2410 Wickham Avenue for “Know Your Rights: Housing Edition.” During this informative and engaging session, you’ll learn about important updates to tenants’ rights and gain tools to advocate for your rights as a tenant.
