Phase 2 of the Mt. Pleasant Widening Project is underway! This project will widen Mt. Pleasant Road from Cooper’s Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike by constructing a center turn lane. Construction is expected to last through fall 2024 with various lane closures taking place throughout. Current Travel Advisories

Speed limit reduced to 35mph
Shoulder closure on Mt. Pleasant Rd westbound, from Centerville Turnpike South to the railroad tracks (adjacent to Butts Road Primary School), until January 31.
Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction from Cooper’s Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike for the duration of construction.
Additional lane closures and flagging operations are possible throughout construction as needed. All work will be deconflicted with work on surrounding roadways to the extent possible.
