Phase 2 of the Mt. Pleasant Widening Project is underway! This project will widen Mt. Pleasant Road from Cooper’s Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike by constructing a center turn lane. Construction is expected to last through fall 2024 with various lane closures taking place throughout. Current Travel Advisories
- Speed limit reduced to 35mph
- Shoulder closure on Mt. Pleasant Rd westbound, from Centerville Turnpike South to the railroad tracks (adjacent to Butts Road Primary School), until January 31.
- Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction from Cooper’s Ditch Bridge to Centerville Turnpike for the duration of construction.
- Additional lane closures and flagging operations are possible throughout construction as needed. All work will be deconflicted with work on surrounding roadways to the extent possible.
